Don King grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, he was involved in a number of illegal street rackets for which he served a prison sentence. After his release from prison in 1967 he turned to boxing promotion and now controls the world heavyweight championship and every leading heavyweight fighter. The only time he lost control was when Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson.
